Q: What types of upgrades do you handle?
A: We install and configure memory (RAM), solid-state drives (SSDs), graphics cards, Wi-Fi cards, and other hardware, as well as software or operating system updates.
Q: Can you help me decide what to upgrade?
A: Yes! We’ll assess your current setup and suggest the most cost-effective improvements based on your goals—whether it’s speed, storage, or functionality.
Q: Do I need to buy the parts first?
A: You can, or we can help you choose and order the right parts. We’re happy to guide you either way.
Q: How long does this service take?
A: Most upgrade sessions take 60 to 90 minutes. The initial service includes up to 60 minutes; any additional time is billed at our standard hourly rate. We’ll let you know before continuing if more time is needed.
Q: Will I lose my files during a hardware upgrade?
A: No. We take precautions to preserve your data. If data migration or cloning is involved, we’ll explain the process and make sure your files stay safe.
Q: Can you help with software updates too?
A: Definitely. We update operating systems, install new versions of programs, and ensure compatibility across your apps and hardware.
Q: Will this make my old computer faster?
A: In many cases, yes! Upgrading from a traditional hard drive to an SSD or increasing RAM can dramatically improve speed and usability.
Q: Do you work with both Macs and PCs?
A: Yes—we perform upgrades on both Windows and macOS systems, including desktops and laptops.
Q: What if my computer isn’t worth upgrading?
A: If we find that upgrades won’t give you a good return, we’ll be honest. We’ll help you evaluate your options and even recommend a replacement if needed.
